Some people know in their high school years what their chosen career path in life will be. However, when I graduated high school in 1969, women were not encouraged to go into nontraditional areas such as dentistry. It was after working in business and education that I decided to pursue a career as a dentist. Working one-on-one with people and utilizing a skill base to help people better their lives was very appealing to me.
Here I am twenty-nine years later, and I'm still practicing dentistry. It gives me great joy to provide the best dental care to my patients and spend the quality time it requires to get the most optimal results. I continue to strive for excellence in my profession everyday and regularly attend seminars and classes to keep my skills refined, and learn new techniques that can help my patients.
One of the areas I am most passionate about focusing on are straightening teeth with a "clear braces" technology called Clear Correct. Everyone deserves the chance to have a beautiful smile and be happy to share it. Being able to make someone look and feel their best is what makes dentistry so rewarding for me.
