Dr. Faith Rowean (University of Michigan '85)

Some people know in their high school years what their chosen career path in life will be. However, when I graduated high school in 1969, women were not encouraged to go into nontraditional areas such as dentistry. It was after working in business and education that I decided to pursue a career as a dentist. Working one-on-one with people and utilizing a skill base to help people better their lives was very appealing to me.

Here I am twenty-nine years later, and I'm still practicing dentistry. It gives me great joy to provide the best dental care to my patients and spend the quality time it requires to get the most optimal results. I continue to strive for excellence in my profession everyday and regularly attend seminars and classes to keep my skills refined, and learn new techniques that can help my patients.

One of the areas I am most passionate about focusing on are straightening teeth with a "clear braces" technology called Clear Correct.  Everyone deserves the chance to have a beautiful smile and be happy to share it. Being able to make someone look and feel their best is what makes dentistry so rewarding for me.

Dr. James Bradford (University of Michigan '84)

Originally trained as a mechanical engineer with a concentration in thermodynamics, I graduated summa cum laude from Oakland University in 1978. From there I began work at the Chrysler Corporation, where I was selected to work on a master's of engineering in statistical thermodynamics at the University of Michigan. However, I missed having personal contact with people and having an impact on their lives.

This unusual background of mathematics offered a strong base for me to begin on before pursuing dentistry. I decided to enroll in the School of  Dentistry at the University of Michigan, where I felt my true calling  was and would get the challenge I was yearning for in a career. This allowed me to help create lasting smiles for my patients, which is the most rewarding part of my work today.

We have been practicing dentistry for over 29 years in Portage, Michigan. We enjoy serving the people of our community and providing them with the best dental resources, procedures, and technology that the   market has to offer. Every week I also work at Grace Healthin downtown Battle Creek,  working to give smiles to another community I deeply care about.
